Analysis and monitoring regarding the observance of the fiscal rules provided by the Stability and Growth Pact, with particular reference to the estimation of the cyclical component of the economy, the definition of structural balances, and the verification of the expenditure rule, significant deviations, and the debt rule. Management of the model for potential GDP in the short and medium term, for the purposes of monitoring structural balances and for official reporting. Analysis of the short- and medium-term sustainability of the public debt, and the sustainability of the public finances over the long term, with particular regard to healthcare and pension expenditure.
