Local Authorities
In order to contain the cost of debt and monitor public finance trends, Italy’s local and regional authorities are required to regularly provide the Ministry of Economy and Finance with data relating to mortgages, bonds and derivative transactions, using the IT procedure GEDI (Italian Debt Management), which in May 2020 has definitively replaced the previous IT procedure CEAM (Communications from local and regional authorities for monitoring and access to the capital market).
