This category of data includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by the users who connect to the website, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in reply, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (success, error, etc.) and other parameters related to the operating system and the computer environment of the user. These data are used only to obtain anonymous statistical information on the use of the website and to check its correct functioning and are deleted immediately after processing. The data may be used to ascertain liability in the event of computer crimes against the website: with the exception of this eventuality, the data shall be retained for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which they were collected.

Cookie information
Cookies are small text strings that websites visited by the user send to its terminal (usually the browser), where they are stored to be retransmitted in the future to the same websites upon the next visit by the same user. In the course of navigation on a website, the user may also receive on his terminal cookies that are sent from different websites or web servers ( "Third Party"), which can contain certain elements (such as images, maps, sounds, specific links to pages on other domains) found on the website that the user is visiting.

Technical Cookies
Technical cookies are used for the sole purpose of transmitting information via an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of a service of the information company to deliver the service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user. They have no purposes beyond the above, and are normally installed directly by the owner or operator of the website. They can be divided into:

  • browser cookies or session cookies, which guarantee the normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, authentication to access reserved areas);

The installation of these cookies does not require the prior consent of users, though the obligation remains to provide adequate information on the processing of personal data that concern them.
The cookies used by the portal of the Department of the Treasury are used to improve the services offered to users, such as:

  • enabling a service to recognise the user’s device, avoiding having to enter the same information multiple times for the same activity;
  • calculating how many users are using the services, in order to facilitate operation and ensure the necessary capacity for speedy navigation.

Session cookies These cookies (which are not stored persistently on the user’s computer and disappear when the browser is closed) are used strictly for the transmission of session identifiers (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) necessary to allow safe and efficient browsing on the website. Using these cookies avoids having to use other computer techniques potentially prejudicial to the confidentiality of user navigation and does not acquire personal data identifying the user.
