Experts’ Group "Economic Forecasts"

Back to International Activity

The Experts' Group "Economic Forecasts" meets in Brussels every six months and assists with publishing the economic forecasts of the European Commission (Spring and Autumn Forecast). Bilateral meetings with national delegates and desk correspondents of the Commission take place at the margin of the experts’ meeting. The working group brings together representatives from the Commission, the European Central Bank and delegates from Member States. Meetings can be attended by experts from other international institutions and organizations. At meetings the Commission, the European Central Bank and the main countries in the EU address the key issues of the international economic situation and that of individual members. The Commission’s forecasts are subsequently submitted to other groups such as the EPC of the European Union.
